preheat oven 350.
unroll one circle piecrust onto glass 9 inch deep pie plate.
pinch crust to desired design.
in a medium sized bowl stir together first 4 ingredients well.
pour mixture into unbaked piecrust.
place whole pecans halves into circle design around top of filling.
bake uncovered 45-70 min until middle of pie is springy. cover crust with foil if they start getting too dark. if you take it out and the pie is breathing you did a good job! don't cover it til its completely cooled!.
