  1. Heat oil in a pan, add bay leaf, cardamom and cumin seeds. Once cumin seeds splutter, add onions with little salt. Saute until golden brown.

  2. Add ginger garlic paste and green chillies. Saute until raw aroma goes away.

  3. Add all spice powders except garam masala and salt. Mix well.

  4. Add tomatoes and cook until tomatoes are tender.

  5. Add chicken and mix well. Add water or broth with yoghurt. Bring to boil.

  6. Lower the heat. Cover and cook until chicken is cooked stirring occasionally.

  7. Add garam masala with cream. Mix well. You can always substitute cream with yoghurt.

  8. Add coriander leaves and mix well. Serve hot.
