  1. Mix salt, flour.

  2. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal.

  3. Add milk, mix until dough is sticky to touch.

  4. Knead dough on floured surface until dough is consistent.

  5. Roll dough until 3/4 inches thick.

  6. Using biscuit cutter, cut out biscuits.

  7. Lightly grease baking pan and place biscuits in pan.

  8. Brush tops with melted butter.
