First start making the Foo Young Hai Sauce. English description is at the bottom section. Matikan subtitle: Settings - Subtitle/CC - Off ===== [INDONESIAN] Menu dari Chinese restaur. It is a super easy dish to cook , it takes nothing but few minutes ( as long as you already have the meat ready of course ). The name comes from the Cantonese language. Egg foo young is derived from fu yung egg slices, a mainland Chinese recipe from Guangdong.

Fu Yung Hai step by step
  1. Buat saus dulu agar ketika mau makan telurnya masih panas. Tumis bawang putih sampai harum. Masukan kacang polong. Lalu masukan sisa bahan lainnya. Koreksi rasa..

  2. Campurkan semua bahan kecuali telur..

  3. Kocok telur sendiri tanpa bahan lain. Kocok hingga mengeluarkan buih-buih. Ini yang membuat telur menjadi lebih kriuk dan berbeda dengan tekstur telur dadar menurut saya. Lalu campurkan dengan bahan yg sudah digabung sebelumnya..

  4. Panas minyak yang banyak di wajan. Bagi dua bahan..

  5. Sajikan ketika makanan masih panas. Akan lupa sudah menghabiskan banyak nasi. Hehe.

In Chinese Indonesian cuisine Egg Fu Yung is well known as Fu yung hai, or sometimes spelled as Pu yung hai, the ingredients of the omelette usually made from the mixture of vegetables such as carrots, bean sprouts and cabbages, mixed with meats such as crab meat, shrimp or minced chicken. The dish is served in sweet and sour sauce with peas. In my previous fu yung hai (egg foo young) recipe, I mentioned that the version served in Indonesia usually comes with a tomato based gravy. I have been meaning to do another fu yung hai recipe for a while since a couple of readers have asked me for an updated recipe. My family used to have deluxe fu yung hai for Chinese New Year, meaning the fu yung hai is made solely with shrimp and crab meat.
