In a sauce pan - add apple sauce, and red hots simmer until candy has dissolved. Stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat let it completely cool, put back in apple sauce jar, and refrigerate. (good to eat hot or cold).
Add the red hots to the hot water and then add the Jello. Add the applesauce when Jello is cool, just when it starts to set. This is good with any baked poultry. Mix in gelatin and allow to dissolve; remove from heat and stir applesauce into mixture. Dissolve red hots in the boiling water.
