Samba rava veg upma instructions
  1. In a small pressure cooker, heat ghee and oil.

  2. Add mustard seeds and once it splutters well, add urad dal, bengal gram dal, curry leaves, ginger and green chilli. Saute for 2 minutes until dals turn light brown.

  3. Add onions and saute for 2-3 minutes till they turn translucent.

  4. Add carrots, beans and peas and mix well for 2 minutes.

  5. Add tomatoes, turmeric powder and a pinch of salt. Mix for 2-3 minutes till tomatoes soften a bit.

  6. Add water and let it boil. Add the required salt..

  7. Reduce the flame to medium. Add samba rava and mix well..

  8. Close the pressure cooker and let it cook for 1 whistle.

  9. Switch off and let the steam release on its own.

  10. Once the steam is released completely, open the pressure cooker and mix the upma nicely.

  11. Serve it hot.
