Samba rava veg upma instructions
In a small pressure cooker, heat ghee and oil.
Add mustard seeds and once it splutters well, add urad dal, bengal gram dal, curry leaves, ginger and green chilli. Saute for 2 minutes until dals turn light brown.
Add onions and saute for 2-3 minutes till they turn translucent.
Add carrots, beans and peas and mix well for 2 minutes.
Add tomatoes, turmeric powder and a pinch of salt. Mix for 2-3 minutes till tomatoes soften a bit.
Add water and let it boil. Add the required salt..
Reduce the flame to medium. Add samba rava and mix well..
Close the pressure cooker and let it cook for 1 whistle.
Switch off and let the steam release on its own.
Once the steam is released completely, open the pressure cooker and mix the upma nicely.
Serve it hot.
