- Prepare 300 g of Red cabbage.
- You need of Salt,pepper.
- Prepare 50 g of Butter.
- Prepare 100 g of Cooking apples.
- Prepare 10 g of Caster sugar.
- Prepare 125 ml of Vinegar or red wine.
- You need 50 g of Bacon trimmings.
Braised red cabbage instructions
Quarter, trim and shred the cabbage.wash well and drain.
Season well with salt and pepper.
Place in a well buttered baking sheet.
Add the peeled and cored apples,cut into 1cm dice and sugar.
Add the bacon and vinegar,cover with a buttered paper and lid.
Cook in a moderate oven at 150°© 200°® for 1hour.
Remove the bacon and serve.
