Scones step by step
Measure and sift flour in a bowl.
Add sugar.
Add the baking powder and salt. If using salted butter you can skip adding it or add just a pinch.
Add the cold butter.
Mix until crumbly in texture. Add the egg and remain a little to brush top. Mix all over again.
Now, add the cold milk in the middle of the dry ingredients.

Dust some flour on your work surface and place the dough. Spread with your hands about 1½inch thick and cut out a round shape using a cutter or round object.
