  1. You need 1 cup of Sooji/semolina.
  2. Prepare 3 cups of water.
  3. Prepare 1 of onion chopped.
  4. Prepare 1 of carrot chopped.
  5. Prepare 1 inch of ginger chopped.
  6. You need 2 of green chillies chopped.
  7. You need to taste of Salt.
  8. It’s 1 tsp of garam masala.

Rava Upma step by step
  1. Dry roast semolina in a kadai and take it out on a plate. Chop all the veggies..

  2. In the same kadai heat oil and add in mustard seeds, peanuts, onion, ginger and green chillies and let it roast. Then to it add carrot and curry leaves..

  3. When done add water to it and bring to a boil..

  4. To this add roasted suji and keep stirring to thicken the Upma till it leaves the sides of the kadai..

  5. Garnish with coriander leaves..

  6. Serve upma hot with coriander chutney and tomato sauce..
