Semolina / rava upma step by step
First pour 1tsp of ghee in a pan and fry rava in low flame for 5 minutes.
Turn off the flame and transfer the rava to a plate.
Slice the onions, slit green chillies, chop ginger and garlic finely.
Heat the pan pour oil and pop mustard seeds, urad dall and chenna dall.
Then add onions, green chillies, ginger and garlic. Fry these ingredients in low flame..
Saute the onions nicely. Add water curry leaves and coriander leaves.
Allow the water to boil. Then add salt and mix well.
Now add rava slowly to the boiling water and start stirring quickly..
Cook in low flame and make sure there are no lumps..
Cover it with lid for 2_3 minutes. Then remove the lid and add one tsp of ghee around..
Garnish with some coriander leaves and serve with chutney and sambar or idly podi.
