  1. Wash and soak rice..

  2. Meanwhile boil the water adding salt and drops of lemon and oil..

  3. Blanch the palak and make puree.

  4. Make mirchi kaTeecha (chutney)of green chilli, ginger,and cloves, keep aside.

  5. When the water start boiling add rice and cook until 75% done, remaining ll cook in dum.

  6. In a kadai heat pan fry paneer cubes and keep aside.

  7. In same kadai add cummin seeds,chopped onion, and chopped 1-2 garlic cloves let them turn into pink colour.

  8. Now add green chilli paste, garam masala, turmeric, palak puree, salt and cook till raw smell goes.Add paneer cubes(half).

  9. Now layering part, in same kadai on the palak paneer put half cooked rice layer.sprinkle little milk and 1tea spoon ghee on top. Put remaining paneer on top layer.cover with lid on cook on dum till done or for 10 mins..

  10. Palak paneer dum biryani is ready to serve..
