Ingredients of Tomato Upma
  1. Prepare 1 cup of rava roasted.
  2. It’s 3 cups of water.
  3. Prepare 1 of onion chopped.
  4. Prepare 2 of large tomatoes pureed.
  5. It’s 1 tbsp of red chilli powder.
  6. You need 1/2 tsp of urad dal.
  7. You need 1 tsp of rai.
  8. It’s 1 tsp of jeera.
  9. It’s 2 of green chillies chopped.
  10. Prepare 2-3 of french beans sliced finely.
  11. It’s 1 inch of carrot chopped finely.
  12. Prepare 2 tbsp of peas.
  13. You need 1 sprig of curry leaves.
  14. Prepare 1 inch of ginger grated.
  15. It’s 1 tbsp of oil.
  16. Prepare 1 tsp of sugar.
  17. Prepare as per taste of Salt.
Tomato Upma instructions
  1. Roast the rava but do not change the colour. Chop the onions & green chillies, slice the French beans, chop finely the carrots,grate the ginger, urad dal and puree the tomatoes.

  2. Heat oil in a kadai add rai,jeera when they crackle add curry leaves, ginger, green chillies, urad dal, onions saute for a few mins. Then add french beans, carrots and peas cover and cook for a few mins.

  3. Then add tomato puree,red chilli powder and salt saute for few mins, add water when it boils add sugar and the roasted rava slowly as it can get lumpy. Cook till it thickens. Serve it hot.
